Samsung may be replacing the rigid OLED screen from last year’s Galaxy S24 FE with a more premium option for the forthcoming Galaxy S25 FE.
According to a report from ZDNet Korea, a new flexible OLED is aiding Samsung in reducing the Galaxy S25 FE’s frame (as per SamMobile). This entails a decrease from 8.0mm on the S24 FE to 7.4mm. While it’s a minor adjustment, it reflects Samsung’s efforts to enhance the device’s premium feel.
In line with Samsung’s 2025 initiative to slim down devices, the Galaxy S25 FE is predicted to adhere to this trend. The shift to a flexible OLED, replacing the conventional rigid layers (hard substrates), is what allows for that thinner design.
