Samsung Galaxy Trifold Leak Unveils Durability and Wireless Charging Capabilities

A recent report has underscored significant attributes of Samsung’s forthcoming trifold device, anticipated to debut in the latter half of 2025. The Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold is speculated to feature NFC, wireless, and reverse wireless charging functionalities. While these capabilities are becoming commonplace in flagship devices, Samsung is also emphasizing durability for its trifold, concentrating on safeguarding its displays.

Leaks from Samsung’s One UI software have revealed animations associated with the trifold’s NFC and charging functionalities, indicating how users may engage with these features. The device is projected to embrace an inward-folding design to shield its primary display when closed, tackling durability issues prevalent in foldable devices.

The trifold is believed to utilize a G-folding technique, which could aid in keeping dust and debris away from the delicate display. Samsung might also adopt hinge technology from its Flip 7 and Fold 7 models to augment the trifold’s folding longevity.

Previously, Samsung has claimed that its newest foldable screens are capable of enduring up to 500,000 folds, potentially lasting a decade for the typical user. The trifold’s ultra-thin glass (UTG) is anticipated to receive an upgrade to reduce crease visibility.

The trifold’s introduction is expected in the second half of 2025, with additional information possibly disclosed at Samsung’s Virtual Galaxy event on September 4.
