Retailers have noted that the forthcoming Galaxy Watch 8 is set to be the priciest entry-level model to date, showcasing a revamped design and a significant upgrade. As per reports, the Galaxy Watch 8 is projected to experience a price rise of up to €50 in Germany, positioning it more similarly to rivals such as Apple and Google. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will also face a comparable price increase, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) will keep its price steady at €699.
The Galaxy Watch 8 lineup is anticipated to feature a major redesign, adopting a more square-shaped casing, although the dimensions will remain unchanged from the previous year. Additionally, the Watch 8 will benefit from a storage enhancement, increasing to 64GB. The price adjustment is likely influenced by economic factors and Samsung’s need to adapt to market conditions.
Samsung’s plans may also encompass launching a Samsung Health subscription that offers enhanced coaching features, akin to Fitbit Premium or Apple Fitness Plus. In spite of the price elevation, the Galaxy Watch 8 is likely to stay competitively priced against the Apple Watch Series 10 and other Wear OS competitors.
The official reveal of the Galaxy Watch 8 series is expected during the Summer Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, slated for July 9.
