Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 is among the top Android smartwatches currently available, particularly for Samsung phone users. The 40mm Bluetooth version is now priced at $289.99, a $60 discount, at Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung, hitting its second-lowest price this year, only $50 above the lowest ever. Concurrently, Woot is offering the 46mm international Bluetooth Classic model for $259.99, a $240 reduction, in black and white but with a 90-day warranty instead of the standard year.
The model isn’t a major shift from its predecessor but offers notable upgrades for those moving from the Galaxy Watch 5 or earlier. The redesigned “squircle” shape is slimmer and more comfortable, and the Classic model includes a rotating bezel and customizable Quick Button. New health tools, including the Running Coach feature, create personalized training based on a 12-minute run. Although nutrition sensors are present, their accuracy varies.
The watch reliably tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep apnea, and provides EKGs when paired with a Samsung phone. Additionally, it supports Google’s Gemini AI assistant for quick on-wrist tasks like finding cafe recommendations or creating playlists.
