It includes a one-year warranty but may have minor cosmetic flaws.
If you prefer the PlayStation 5 and find the DualSense gamepad lacking, the DualSense Edge might be your answer. With its original price of $199, Sony now offers this controller in refurbished condition for $169 via the PlayStation Direct storefront, saving you $30. It retains the same one-year warranty as a new model, though it might show minor cosmetic imperfections.
Though the DualSense Edge’s battery life is shorter than the standard DualSense, it boasts excellent software integration with the PS5 and offers numerous customizable options. This controller is highly customizable, featuring toggleable control schemes, mappable rear paddles, and replaceable joysticks. It also allows adjusting the triggers’ stopping points for varying pull lengths and tweaking the joysticks’ deadzone and sensitivity.
The controller pairs well with PS5 and is compatible with Windows. Some PC games by PlayStation Studios support its features. Its main drawback is the battery life, limited to eight hours, which is a couple of hours less than the standard DualSense gamepad. Regular charging every few days should mitigate this issue.
