The ChillPill is a battery-powered personal fan with a metal plate attachment designed to cool your skin directly. SharkNinja has introduced the Shark ChillPill as a new personal cooling solution that employs three methods to combat heat. Unlike other wearable cooling devices that utilize airflow to facilitate sweat evaporation, the ChillPill integrates a metal cooling plate accessory to quickly reduce the skin’s surface temperature. Its innovative twist design also allows it to function as a hands-free desk fan.
Available now for $149.99 exclusively through Amazon, the ChillPill will also be offered on Shark’s website and other retailers starting March 11. It comes in various colors including carbon, dragonfruit, glacier, haze, iced latte, matcha, and rose gold. The ChillPill operates as a battery-powered fan featuring 10 adjustable speeds, reaching up to 25 feet per second. The battery life extends up to 11 hours on the lowest setting, but drops to 1.5 hours at the highest speed.
The ChillPill includes two accessories: a mister providing a light water spray to enhance cooling effects, although its small reservoir limits continuous misting to about 10 minutes; interval misting can prolong usage. The second accessory, a “cryo-inspired” metal cooling plate, can be applied directly to the skin like an ice pack. It reportedly decreases skin temperature by up to 16 degrees Fahrenheit within seconds and, unlike an ice pack, lasts as long as the ChillPill’s battery.
