Have you ever wanted to be part of ‘Gran Turismo’?

Sony is looking to improve the current negative news surrounding PlayStation with a new initiative dubbed The Playerbase. According to the PlayStation Blog, Sony will allow fans to apply to have their faces scanned for use in PS5 games. The first of such games will be Gran Turismo 7. One successful applicant will feature as a limited-time character in the game.
The Playerbase will be available in select global markets. Interested parties can apply through a dedicated webpage. The process involves answering questions about your PlayStation experience, logging into your PlayStation Network account, and a video interview. Sony may prioritize candidates with extensive PlayStation histories, giving merit to high Trophy counts for the first time.
This initiative may offer much-needed positive news for PlayStation amidst recent price hikes of PS5 consoles due to economic pressures and reports of potential delays and changes for the forthcoming PlayStation 6.
But perhaps The Playerbase will reignite excitement for PlayStation.
