### Apple Reportedly Aiming for July 23 for iOS 26 Public Beta
iOS 26 has been undergoing beta tests with developers for more than a month, yet there has been no public beta launch to date. Apple has only verified a July release, but as per Mark Gurman, there’s a particular date next week being aimed for.
Traditionally, Apple releases its summer public betas approximately a week after the debut of beta 3. However, iOS 26 beta 3 was launched last Monday, July 7, and we are now over a week later without a public beta. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we might have to wait another entire week.
In reply to a post on X questioning the absence of the public beta, Gurman suggested that **next Wednesday, July 23** would be a later than usual launch for Apple’s public betas. This timing implies that we are likely to witness iOS 26 developer beta 4 before the public beta is made available. If Apple adheres to its typical 7-day interval between betas, we could expect iOS 26 beta 4 to be available tomorrow.
Nonetheless, historical patterns have already been altered, making it unclear whether a new beta will emerge before the public beta or if a ‘revised’ beta 3 will be issued instead. Regardless, with July advancing, the iOS 26 public beta release timeframe is closing quickly.
