**Pluribus: A Fresh Sci-Fi Drama from Vince Gilligan Arriving on Apple TV+**
‘Pluribus’ is the newly-unveiled, enigmatic series from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. Here’s all that we know about Pluribus so far, including its Apple TV+ launch date, cast, plot details, and more.
### Pluribus is an Enigmatic New Sci-Fi Drama Debuting Soon on Apple TV+
Among the most eagerly awaited premieres on Apple TV+ this fall is the long-anticipated new series from Vince Gilligan. Pluribus is set to debut **on Friday, November 7** with its first two episodes on Apple TV+, followed by weekly installments through December 26. The project has been years in development, with Apple initially announcing it back in 2022.
Gilligan is renowned for his work on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Now, Pluribus afford the chance to bring Gilligan back together with Better Call Saul’s Rhea Seehorn. Seehorn stars in Pluribus as a character who is “the most miserable person on Earth” and “must rescue the world from happiness.” A cryptic teaser was shared mentioning the name ‘Carol,’ though it remains unclear if that’s Seehorn’s character.
### What We Know About ‘Pluribus’: Genre, Setting, Cast, Teaser, and More
Apple TV+ appears to be heavily invested in cryptic, Severance-style promotion with Pluribus. On one hand, this means there’s a lot we still don’t know about the series. However, it also makes the limited information that has been disclosed even more significant.
Pluribus is presented as a sci-fi drama, but Apple also categorizes it as a “genre-bending original.” It takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While teasing the show with *Variety* in 2023, Gilligan stated that Pluribus contains “no crime, and no methamphetamine.”
Gilligan elaborates, “The world shifts very suddenly in the first episode, and then it is quite altered. And the repercussions that arise from that ideally create drama for many, many episodes afterward.” He has also depicted Rhea Seehorn’s character as someone striving significantly to be virtuous, a slightly flawed hero, but indeed a hero.
In addition to Seehorn, the cast features:
– Karolina Wydra (“Sneaky Pete”)
– Carlos Manuel Vesga (“The Hijacking of Flight 601”)
– Miriam Shor (“American Fiction”)
– Samba Schutte (“Our Flag Means Death”)
### Pluribus Season 2 is Already Announced
In an uncommon move, Apple has already revealed that Pluribus will have a season 2. The streamer’s initial agreement with Gilligan included a two-season commitment, though it is not typical for Apple to officially declare a second season before the first one airs. The official Apple TV+ press release announcing Pluribus explicitly references that the second season is in development.
Here’s hoping that means if Pluribus indeed becomes a Severance-style success, we won’t have to wait nearly as long for a second season as we did for Severance.
