Experiencing Marvel’s Deadpool VR: Vigorous Combat, Tough Sword Skills, and Distinctive Comic Antagonists

Marvel’s Deadpool VR is set to launch in late 2025 exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, featuring Neil Patrick Harris as the voice of Deadpool.

Deadpool, the hilarious Merc with a Mouth known for breaking the 4th wall, is the newest superhero (after Batman) to receive a VR action game exclusive to Quest 3. Marvel’s Deadpool VR was revealed at the Summer Games Fest today, but I had the opportunity to experience an early demo back in late May at Meta’s California offices.

Featuring the Emmy-winning Neil Patrick Harris as the lead antihero, Marvel’s Deadpool VR is developed by Twisted Pixel. Acquired by Meta in 2021, Twisted Pixel last produced the beat-em-up VR game Path of the Warrior in 2019. Development on Deadpool has clearly been in progress for several years.

The game seems to serve as an immediate contrast to 2024’s Batman: Arkham Shadow VR, created by another developer brought under the Meta umbrella, Camouflaj. Both titles boast experienced voice actors, extensive story-driven experiences, and impressive next-gen graphics. Nevertheless, they differ significantly in terms of combat mechanics, movement, and overall tone.

Huawei’s Anticipated Mate XT Successor Likely to Include Major Enhancements

The device may also appear at some point later this year.

Key information

  • Speculations suggest Huawei is developing a tri-fold successor to the Mate XT with several significant enhancements.
  • There is said to be potential for a more advanced processor and camera capabilities.
  • An insider has indicated the gadget might be unveiled in the “second half” of 2025, possibly coinciding with the original’s release in September last year.

Initial rumors indicate that Huawei is working on its upcoming tri-fold smartphone.

These claims emerged from a reputable Chinese insider, Digital Chat Station (DCS), on Weibo (via Android Headlines). The source suggests that Huawei is creating a follow-up to its Mate XT tri-fold, potentially named the “Mate XT 2,” if we consider naming conventions. There are reportedly additional enhancements concerning the hardware of this new device.

DCS contends that the tri-fold could feature a completely new, upgraded SoC (processor), likely based on an “N-1” generation chip. In response to a question, DCS noted the possibility of the chip being Huawei’s Kirin 9020. Furthermore, the phone’s photographic capabilities could receive a boost, although it’s uncertain how far Huawei is prepared to advance its camera technology.

Spotify’s $10 Billion Disbursement Enhances the Triumph of Canadian Musicians

Spotify has unveiled its yearly “Loud and Clear” report, showcasing remarkable milestones in the music streaming sector, with a specific emphasis on Canada. In 2024, Spotify disbursed more than $10 billion to the worldwide music industry, setting a record for the largest payout in a single year by any music retailer. Canadian musicians have significantly profited, accumulating almost CAD $460 million in royalties, nearly doubling their income since 2019. Over the last five years, Canadian music revenue has surged by 129%, achieving CAD $909 million in 2024.

The report indicates that nearly 1,500 artists received more than $1 million in royalties from Spotify alone in 2024, with 80% of these artists lacking a song in the Spotify Global Daily Top 50 chart. Canadian artists have excelled on a global scale, with 94% of their Spotify earnings originating from outside Canada. This illustrates Canada’s position as a leading music exporter, with Canadian music being listened to in cities around the globe, including Jakarta, Osaka, Melbourne, London, São Paulo, Berlin, Mexico City, and Seoul.

Canada’s bilingual characteristics have also aided in the prosperity of its music industry, with French music experiencing a 15% increase in global Spotify royalties. Patrick Watson’s “Je te laisserai des mots” emerged as the most listened-to francophone track on Spotify worldwide in 2024, and it is the first French-language song to exceed 1 billion streams.

Canadian women have been pivotal in music production, with their global streams on Spotify having doubled since 2020. In 2024, 40% of Canadian artists earning over CAD $1 million on Spotify were women or belonged to mixed-gender groups. Xenia Manning, director of Global Music Policy at Spotify, highlighted the diversity and international leadership of Canadian music, emphasizing the critical role of exports in supporting Canada’s music industry.

Price Anticipations for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 After the Release of Z Flip 7

**Fasten Your Seatbelts, It’s Time to Imagine: The Prospects of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip Series**

As the tech industry eagerly awaits Samsung’s forthcoming announcement, discussions are buzzing about the soon-to-be-launched Galaxy Z Flip 7 and its influence on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. With the anticipated introduction of the Z Flip 7 in July, many are pondering if the Z Flip 6 will experience a price reduction and whether it is still a valuable buy.

**What We Know**

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is believed to be revealed at a Samsung Unpacked event early in July, together with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8 series. This new Z Flip iteration is anticipated to showcase a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, an updated design, and a larger cover display. However, there are rumors that the camera technology might not see any upgrades from the Z Flip 6, which could spark debate among Samsung enthusiasts.

The Z Flip 6, which launched last summer at a price of $1,099.99, was $100 more expensive than its predecessor. With rivals such as the Motorola Razr Ultra priced at $1,300, it remains unclear if Samsung will keep or raise the price for the Z Flip 7. There is also talk about a more budget-friendly “Fan Edition” of the Z Flip 7, although details are limited.

**Will the Z Flip 6 Become Less Expensive?**

As the launch of the Z Flip 7 nears, the Z Flip 6 is beginning to receive price reductions from retailers and carriers. For example, Amazon has listed a discount of over $200, while AT&T offers up to $1,000 off with trade-ins and new lines. While these promotions are appealing, postponing for further price declines after the Z Flip 7’s debut might not be advisable, as inventory may run out swiftly.

Prime Day, likely coinciding with the Z Flip 7’s announcement, could offer the best chance for notable discounts on the Z Flip 6. This event could bring forth competitive offers, making it the perfect time for consumers to make a purchase.

**Conclusion**

Even with its impending status as last-gen, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 continues to be a high-quality flip phone with a compact design and comprehensive AI capabilities. Although its price has posed a challenge, upcoming sales events might enhance its affordability. As we await Samsung’s next steps, the tech community is set for thrilling advancements in the foldable phone sector.

Possible Price Drop for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 After Galaxy Z Fold 7 Release

Here’s what we know up to now.

Based on numerous leaks and speculations, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to be unveiled at a Samsung Unpacked event next month, leading many to ponder: will the Z Fold 6 finally see a decrease in price when the new generation launches?

At this juncture, we can only hypothesize, but drawing from my extensive experience in covering smartphone releases like this, I can offer a solid perspective on what to anticipate.

What we know

Even though nothing has been officially confirmed yet, a continuous flow of leaks and rumors hint that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be disclosed during an Unpacked event in July. This aligns with previous years, as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 was first announced on July 10th, 2024, with a release on July 24th.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely to be introduced alongside the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 7, and we should also receive a launch date for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. There’s a possibility that Samsung will surprise us with an early glimpse of its triple-folding Galaxy G Fold, although information on that device is still limited.

In terms of specifications, the high-end foldable is expected to incorporate the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset found in the Galaxy S25 series, alongside a new and enhanced “creaseless foldable panel,” two vibrant AMOLED screens, and the slimmest design of any Z Fold model thus far.

It’s also quite likely that the Z Fold 7 will be pricier than the previous model, and given that the 2024 variant already began at a hefty $1,799.99, we should hope for particularly attractive preorder offers this year.

Will the Z Fold 6 decrease in price?

Considering the information provided above, should you anticipate the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to become cheaper with the arrival of the Z Fold 7? Well, it’s nuanced.

Firstly, it’s important to note that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is currently being heavily discounted at most retailers. As of this writing, for instance, Amazon is offering over 20% off the unlocked foldable, reducing the price to $1,499.99. These promotions are likely intended to clear inventory ahead of the Z Fold 7’s launch, and with Amazon Prime Day quickly approaching (also planned for early July), it seems unlikely that many Z Fold 6 units will remain when the new foldable phone ultimately arrives.

In other words, I would recommend purchasing a phone right before its successor releases rather than immediately thereafter. While it’s possible that the Z Fold 6 may see a permanent price reduction upon the release of its successor, it’s equally probable that it will be largely out of stock by then (unless you’re okay with a refurbished option). In summary, if you’re interested in unlocked phone deals, Amazon Prime Day 2025 will be the optimal time to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Premium foldable, premium cost

Despite soon being replaced by the Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 continues to rank among the top foldable phones available, featuring a robust Snapdragon chipset, two stunning 120Hz AMOLED displays, and outstanding battery performance. The drawback is that the phone is also quite pricey, but with a new generation on the horizon, that situation may change soon.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 Probably Set to Debut Lacking Anticipated Magnets: Here’s Why It Shouldn’t Surprise You

What you can expect is “Qi 2 ready”.

(Image credit: Derrek Lee / Android Central)

For the past few years, every significant release of an Android phone has been met with speculation about whether this would be the device compatible with those clever magnetic Qi2 chargers. In nearly every instance, the reply isn’t what users wish to hear, and it seems the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will follow this trend, as it is rumored to lack built-in MagSafe charging.

I’ve mentioned it previously, and I’ll reiterate: stop anticipating it. It’s not that those magnetic Qi2 chargers aren’t useful; I definitely understand the attraction for those who cannot or choose not to put their phone down long enough to recharge, and substantial funds have been allocated to inform you that you should desire it. When a phone is released and you discover you must purchase a case to utilize the magnetic accessories, it’s disheartening.
