The standard plan in the US is increasing by $2 a month. YouTube Premium is raising its prices in the US, with standard individual accounts going up by $2 and the family plan by $4. The price increase is already effective for new accounts and is being implemented for existing subscribers. The Individual plan now costs $15.99 per month, previously $13.99, while the Family plan is $26.99, up from $22.99. Premium Lite, which reduces “most” ads and excludes YouTube Music, is now $8.99 monthly, up from $7.99. New prices are effective for new signups, and existing subscribers are being notified of the change via email: “To continue delivering great service and features, we’re increasing your price to $15.99/month. We don’t make these decisions lightly, but this update will allow us to continue improving Premium and supporting the creators and artists you watch on YouTube.” The change is reflected on the June 7, 2026 billing date. This follows recent price hikes for both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. YouTube Premium last increased US prices in 2023, with many international users experiencing price hikes in late 2024.
