The Creatorverse Incubator is set to aid TikTok stars in creating original shows for the streaming service. TikTok personalities will soon debut new streaming series on Tubi. Tubi and TikTok have announced a partnership to launch a Creatorverse Incubator to support content creators in producing long-form original series for the Fox-owned platform. Selected TikTok creators will collaborate with Tubi on developing various scripted and unscripted shows across genres. Tubi plans to announce the first cohort of participants later this summer. TikTok’s Dawn Yang emphasized the initiative as a means of empowering creators. Yang highlighted that the partnership with Tubi offers TikTok creators more opportunities to expand their audiences and create lasting impacts. The Creatorverse Incubator resembles Tubi’s Stubios initiative, which gave filmmakers opportunities to create projects supported by fan engagement metrics. While Stubios featured social media stars, the Creatorverse Incubator targets those with prior TikTok success. The concept fits studios’ investments in TikTok-inspired content, but Tubi faces the challenge of generating interest in longer formats, akin to traditional series, differing from TikTok’s brief appeal.
