Unihertz’s New QWERTY Phone Resembles a BlackBerry Even More

A new keyboard phone has been introduced. Unihertz, renowned for its alternative slab phones, has launched the Titan 2 Elite with a physical keyboard. This model, smaller and more stylish than the original Titan, is now available in a trendy orange color and resembles a Blackberry significantly.

Unihertz first hinted at the Elite in January, portraying it as a smaller version of the Titan 2 with rounded edges. After seeing it at MWC, it’s clear that it follows that description. The keys are slightly reduced in size compared to the Titan 2, and there’s no secondary screen on the rear. Much like its predecessor, the keyboard functions as a trackpad and allows for custom shortcuts on physical keys. It features a 4.05-inch OLED screen versus the Titan’s 4.5-inch LCD.

The Titan 2 Elite is light and fits easily in a pocket. It has a programmable button on the side and a physical SIM slot. However, it lacks a headphone jack, which was initially mistaken for one upon seeing the IR control. Despite this, the return of the Blackberry-style design is welcome.

Though the price of the Titan 2 Elite is yet to be announced, Unihertz plans to launch it on Kickstarter this March.
