Xiaomi has unveiled various new products ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, featuring a camera-centric flagship smartphone, an AirTag alternative, the Xiaomi Watch 5, and a sleek power bank. The company has teamed up with Leica for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, incorporating Leica lenses and filters reminiscent of the German brand’s style. The smartphone boasts a 50-megapixel main camera, an exceptional 200-megapixel telephoto lens with variable zoom (75mm-100mm equivalent), and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. It includes a 6,000 mAh battery in the global version (the Chinese variant is 6,800 mAh) and supports 90W USB PD-PPS charging and Xiaomi’s 50W Hypercharge wireless technology. Its display is a 6.9-inch Xiaomi HyperRGB OLED, protected by Shield Glass 3.0, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, similar to the Galaxy S26 series.
Xiaomi is also commemorating Leica’s centennial with a special edition phone featuring an aluminum-alloy body, nickel-anodized finish, and Leica-themed software. The rotating ring emulates a camera zoom, with a unique “Leica Essential mode” for photos styled after Leica M9 and M3. The Xiaomi 17 offers a 6,330 mAh battery and 100W HyperCharge. For photography enthusiasts, the 17 Ultra Photography Kit and Pro version offer features such as shutter buttons, zoom controls, and additional battery power.
