The Xreal One Pro along with the Xreal Eye camera add-on have now been launched, and I’ve been testing them over the last few weeks. These two offerings enhance the Xreal One lineup and provide a broader perspective of what we might anticipate from the brand in the time to come.
Earlier this year, Xreal introduced its next-gen smart display glasses, Xreal One, featuring the first-ever chip integrated into glasses that allows for 3DoF tracking without the need for any additional software or configuration. Meanwhile, the compact Xreal Eye camera elevates this tracking capability to 6DoF, similar to what VR headsets like the Meta Quest 3 can offer. Essentially, this allows you to move around while your virtual screen remains fixed in position.
Xreal One Pro, in contrast, is a newly enhanced pair of glasses priced about $100 more than the Xreal One. This upgrade provides a newer Sony micro-OLED that is 100 nits brighter, a significantly slimmer prism display that removes the glare associated with birdbath optics, a 7-degree expanded field of view (FoV), and a new interchangeable frame for an extra style appeal.
