Zuckerberg Offers Assistance with DOGE via Text to Musk

The contentious relationship between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, once marked by Musk’s cagefight challenge, had eased by the early days of the second Trump administration, as revealed by recently published court documents.

According to Engadget, text exchanges between the two, released amid Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI, were sent on February 3, 2025, shortly after Zuckerberg’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, where he critiqued corporate America’s “emasculation.”

Zuckerberg commented on Musk’s actions through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), messaging, “Looks like DOGE is making progress. I’ve got our teams on alert to take down content doxxing or threatening the people on your team. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.”

Musk responded with a heart emoji and asked, “Are you open to the idea of bidding on OpenAI with me and some others?”

Zuckerberg proposed a phone discussion on the idea. However, as previously mentioned documents show, Zuckerberg did not join Musk’s bid.
