Apple TV 4K in conjunction with a combination of HomePod 2 and a quality television. Fortunately, there’s an entire team at the organization that shares my view, as the upcoming tvOS 26 update is anticipated to be one of the most compelling to date.
With the release of tvOS 26 public beta 1 to users, I’ve chosen to highlight some of my preferred features associated with this update. There’s indeed much to explore in tvOS 26, as has been the case with all the software enhancements Apple announced during the WWDC 2025 keynote.
Nevertheless, Apple continues demonstrating its dedication to the Apple TV platform. As televisions become increasingly intelligent, it is Apple’s set-top box that extends their lifespan. While the company is shifting their focus from gaming to the Apple TV app and Apple Fitness+ experiences, there is plenty for users to look forward to in tvOS 26, particularly now that the public beta is launched.
