unveiled its latest Mont Flex display technology tailored for foldable devices. Drawing inspiration from the French term “mont” (mountain), Samsung states that this display technology epitomizes the zenith of foldable screen advancement.

Samsung further elaborates that each letter in “mont” signifies a core attribute of this upcoming generation of foldable OLED screens. M represents “mechanically tough, ensuring exceptional folding dependability,” O stands for “opto-mechanically level, providing a vibrant display with minimal crease,” N denotes “slim bezels that optimize screen real estate,” and T symbolizes “sleek and lightweight design that boosts portability.”

“Since we commenced mass production of foldable OLEDs in 2019, we have relentlessly pursued technological advancements to refine the product,” stated Jae-Nam Yun, Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Display Marketing Team at Samsung Display. “After the introduction of a foldable panel featuring a newly engineered ‘shock-resistant structure’ that successfully passed the 500,000-fold durability test, we are committed to extending the limits to provide even more sophisticated foldable products that surpass market expectations.”
