Thus, customers who wished to purchase the largest model would need to pay an additional $100, but technically, the company wasn’t altering the prices, as the 256GB version of the Pro Max remained priced the same as it was the previous year.
In conjunction with this “price adjustment,” Apple had restricted recording in Apple ProRes to models featuring at least 256GB of storage, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max was the sole phone with 5x optical zoom. Now, with an anticipated price hike for the iPhone 17 series approaching, it appears Apple will employ the same approach with the smaller iPhone 17 Pro.
