Pixel 10 designs were revealed months ahead of the Made by Google event, along with specifications, launch date, and pricing. Google validated all these speculations during the event.
The Pixel 10 smartphones maintain the same designs as the prior models with one significant alteration. The devices are equipped with Qi2 wireless charging, indicating that the new Pixels incorporate Pixelsnap magnetic rings on the rear. They are compatible with magnetic chargers, including MagSafe, and a variety of other magnetic accessories. Additionally, the new Pixel 10 variants unveil several intriguing AI functionalities, featuring enhanced camera capabilities and a Magic Cue function that leverages on-device AI to present contextually applicable information.
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL will be available for preorder on Wednesday. The starting prices are $799, $999, and $1,199, respectively. The Pixel 10 Pro XL offers 256GB of storage, which accounts for its slightly elevated price compared to last year’s entry-level cost. The Pixel 9 Pro XL had a 128GB storage option, which is not available this year. The Pro versions are offered in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade colors. The regular Pixel 10 will come in Obsidian, Frost, and Indigo. All models come with a complimentary year of Google AI Pro (worth $240). The Pixel 10 devices are set to ship to customers and arrive in stores on August 18.
