Google Play’s description indicates that the application serves as “a quick link to Google Password Manager on your device, making it faster and simpler for you to locate and handle your passwords, passkeys, and additional features.”
Even though it does not introduce any innovative features, the launch of this new shortcut application positions Google’s Password Manager similarly to Apple’s own Passwords app, which obtained an official application with the debut of iOS 18.
