Indeed, numerous states have already noted an increase in the amounts consumers are required to pay monthly for their electricity, with the uptick aimed at addressing the rising energy demand from AI.
Bloomberg’s analysis indicates that in various states, many experienced above-average spikes in their yearly electricity costs. Residents in New Jersey faced a 13.3% hike, while New York’s surge was even more significant at 14.4%, and that was just up to May.
