reduce energy consumption by extending the evening daylight hours. The United States enacted the Uniform Time Act of 1966 concerning Daylight Savings Time, and presently, the majority of states in the U.S. continue to observe DST, with the exceptions being Hawaii and certain regions of Arizona.

A scenario without DST could better synchronize our body’s natural rhythms with the Earth’s seasonal patterns. Nonetheless, not everyone supports the abolition of DST.
