new blog entry published this week, Spotify announces it is improving the music streaming experience for free users by allowing them to select and play their desired tracks. They will also gain the ability to search for and play specific songs via the search feature.
If you haven’t tried Spotify’s free service before, you might not be aware that it previously offered a more Pandora-like experience. That service enabled users to enjoy personalized channels, but it didn’t let them select individual songs. Instead, you could search for an artist, and the app would generate a playlist featuring that artist along with similar music. Spotify operated in a comparable manner for free users, but now it is finally becoming a bit more tailored.
