Google Improves Flight Offers and Launches New AI-Driven Travel Capabilities

Flight Deals initiative that Google started in August is now accessible worldwide, enabling users to discover better flight offers by simply requesting the AI in natural language to locate specific flights that align with their budget and requirements. The AI Mode in Google Search also enhances more travel-related functionalities, including a new Canvas feature that simplifies trip planning like never before, alongside increased support for using AI Mode to make dining reservations.

Earlier this summer, Google introduced Flight Deals, an AI-enhanced version of Google Flights, in the U.S., Canada, and India. This feature is now being rolled out across over 200 countries and territories around the globe, supporting more than 60 languages. Shoppers seeking flight bargains but unclear about their travel destinations and timing can now utilize Flight Deals “as if conversing with a friend,” according to a Google blog entry. In a video, the company presents this example query for Flight Deals: “I plan to take a week off in February. Searching for a deal, I wish to fly nonstop to a city with outstanding cuisine and pleasant weather.” In this context, the user only indicates the timeframe, with the AI expected to uncover all other details. You can provide the AI with as many specifics as you desire to refine your search further and secure better offers.
