Even when considering commercial aircraft beyond Boeing, the SR-71’s velocity is unmatched. The Airbus A380, for instance, achieves a maximum speed of 634 mph. And while that’s nearing the speed of sound, it still falls short when compared to the Blackbird’s performance.
