Elizabeta Gjorgievska Joshevski’s extensive career encompasses various leadership roles and spans multiple continents, all centered around the theme of bridging technology with business outcomes. As the founder and CEO of EverCognitive, she applies this perspective in the AI landscape, assisting organizations in defining their AI transformation and practical application.
Hailing from North Macedonia, Elizabeta’s journey began in programming and tech education, fostering her technical skills and leadership potential. Her initial roles focused on building relationships and capabilities, linking her to global tech ecosystems, and solidifying her understanding of technology adoption beyond theory into real-world operations.
Her tenure at Cisco marked a pivotal moment, initiating a 19-year global career from the Balkans to Vienna, and later Dubai, to lead multicultural EMEA teams. Her advancement stemmed from exposure to various markets and business challenges rather than following a set path. She emphasizes the need for constant adaptation, particularly in aligning customer demands with evolving tech strategies.
In Vienna, she managed telecom operations across Eastern Europe, balancing sales leadership with technical execution. She underscores the necessity of operational discipline and strategic clarity, advocating Servant Leadership to elevate team effectiveness in engaging C-suite executives, leading global teams to deliver outstanding results.
Relocating to Dubai was a strategic decision for Elizabeta, offering a dynamic environment where opportunities align with skills, further enhancing her leadership profile. The region’s rapid development and innovation openness influenced her approach to large-scale projects and organizational change.
Her responsibilities expanded to overseeing enterprise-level operations across EMEA, managing a business portfolio requiring coordination with global teams and alignment with product and strategy functions. This experience allowed her to influence corporate-level decisions, driving growth while managing execution complexity on a large scale.
A shift in perspective emerged during a Harvard leadership program from 2013 to 2014, prompting Elizabeta to reflect on her career and experiences. “I knew my next challenge would be to take my experience and knowledge from Harvard to build my own company,” she reveals.
This idea burgeoned as AI became central in tech discussions, propelling her departure from the corporate realm to focus on Generative AI, completing a program at MIT in 2024, and studying AI application in digital transformations. Elizabeta identified the gap between AI tool development and market readiness, seeing her potential contribution therein.
“The starting point should always be the business outcome, understanding the client and converting their AI ambition into operational reality and growth,” she asserts.
Built on this premise, EverCognitive operates as an AI transformation firm, assisting organizations in assessing organizational health, conducting AI readiness audits, and developing AI solutions to align with business outcomes. This involves executive advisory, organizational assessments, and frameworks to implement executable architectures.
Elizabeta’s experience with large organizations shapes her approach, noting that tech decisions often hinge on leadership alignment, organizational structure, and operational priorities. Many companies require guidance in approaching AI from this perspective.
“I have spent years working with companies now attempting to leverage AI,” Elizabeta explains. “My deep understanding of digital transformation journeys across vertical markets allows me to accelerate their AI transformation with confidence and tangible business outcomes.”
Currently, EverCognitive partners with organizations in AI leadership and strategy, aiming to translate technological potential into measurable outcomes. Elizabeta focuses on applying experience to this evolving space.
While AI continues to advance, Elizabeta emphasizes the enduring importance of guiding its application. The technology will evolve, but its organizational impact will define its significance over time.
“The question is not if but when. In the AI revolution, those who adopt quickly and wisely won’t just survive; they will win,” she concludes.
