Hack The Board’s WiQwiic-32 is a compact USB-C IoT development board featuring an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module. It comes with a 1.14-inch LCD and eight Qwiic ports for straightforward prototyping with compatible modules. The device includes a microphone, a buzzer, four buttons, two RGB LEDs, and a power LED. GPIO pin expansion is only achievable through the Qwiic connectors, though you can attach a Qwiic to header converter module for breadboard-compatible GPIO headers.
**Features of WiQwiic-32:**

Hack The Board also created several Qwiic add-on boards:
– BME280 environmental sensor for temperature, humidity, and pressure
– IR transceiver for infrared functions
– 2-channel relay
– GPIO expander (MCP23017) for more GPIOs
– Qwiic to header converter for prototyping
– RGB LED with 5x WS2812B
– Dual-button
– LED with Red and Green LEDs
– Analog sensor with a potentiometer and a light sensor
These can be used alongside Qwiic modules from Sparkfun, Adafruit, etc., with hundreds available in the market. No educational materials or sample code are provided, but the board can be used with Arduino, MicroPython, or ESP-IDF, and it supports a range of applications without soldering, such as web control systems, smart automation, and sound-reactive LEDs.
While similar MCU boards exist, WiQwiic-32 is unique due to its eight Qwiic ports, although daisy-chaining I2C devices remains possible. However, pricing starts around $65 on Kickstarter, with a starter kit for $94, plus shipping of 12 Euros. Deliveries start in July 2026.
