Chris Lister, COO of Redwood Materials, is retiring, with the company confirming his departure. Lister joined Redwood in 2023 as chief supply chain officer, quickly advancing to COO in 2024. He formerly managed operations at Tesla’s Nevada Gigafactory. CEO JB Straubel announced Lister’s retirement shortly after the company laid off 10% of its workforce to focus on its energy storage business. Redwood has secured deals with Rivian and Crusoe for refurbished batteries. Other recent executive departures include Bradley Mayhew, Guillermo Urquiza, and Carlos Lozano, who have all left the company in recent months. Straubel stated the restructuring aims to streamline management and enhance efficiency, expressing optimism about the company’s future in the energy storage sector.
