Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show days are nearly over, sparking curiosity about his future plans, besides writing a new Lord of the Rings movie. “As we approach the end, people keep asking, ‘What’s next for Stephen T. Colbert?'” he shared on Thursday’s show. “Rumors are wild—I’ve heard I’m moving to CNN, launching a wildlife rescue program, or running for President. I’m here to confirm all are partially true. I’ll be president of an animal sanctuary for the rare Blitzer Wolf.”
Putting rumors to rest, Colbert unveiled his upcoming TV venture: an hour-long procedural inspired by current events.
Introducing Uncle Cops, featuring Colbert and John C. Reilly as Detectives Mitch and Bob. “Two detectives who are also uncles. It’s complicated, folks.”
They even made a trailer—it’s spectacular. I’d watch this for 30+ seasons.
