Apple’s upcoming foldable phone is set to debut under the “iPhone Ultra” name, veering away from the expected “iPhone Fold” designation. This renaming aligns it with Apple’s other “Ultra” products like the Apple Watch Ultra and the anticipated MacBook Ultra. According to Macworld, which cited an insider source, the Ultra branding indicates the pinnacle of Apple’s offerings, with the foldable iPhone positioned as a premium alternative to the Pro line. While it is expected to be announced with the Pro models in September, it may hit the market a bit later and in limited quantities. The Ultra name recently emerged as a potential brand for high-end Apple products, with speculations that it could also apply to future Mac and MacBook models. Current “Ultra” products already include the Apple Watch Ultra, M1 Ultra chip, and CarPlay Ultra, denoting the superior counterparts in their categories.
