After the triumph of Apple’s inaugural film F1, the company is broadening this universe as it becomes the official broadcasting partner for the globe’s most popular and significant racing competition — in the U.S. Consequently, Apple TV will serve as the exclusive venue for Formula 1 broadcasts for the upcoming five years in the nation. “We’re excited to enhance our partnership with Formula 1 and provide Apple TV subscribers in the U.S. with front-row access to one of the most thrilling and rapidly growing sports worldwide,” stated Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services.

The Apple Sports app will provide live updates for every qualifying Sprint and race for each Grand Prix throughout the season, featuring real-time leaderboards, seasonal driver and constructor standings, Live Activities, a comprehensive widget, and more. “This is a tremendously exciting partnership for Apple and the entire Formula 1 that will guarantee we can continue to optimize our growth potential in the U.S. with appropriate content and innovative distribution methods,” remarked Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1’s president and CEO.

Up to this point, Apple has not disclosed the subscription fee. However, it mentions that users will still have the option to use F1 TV Premium via an Apple TV subscription.
