The iPhone 17 series and the iPhone Air models are set to arrive in stores this Friday. Although reviewers have highlighted the enhancements in this updated generation, one tester came across a rather peculiar camera malfunction impacting their iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max review devices.

Henry Casey from CNN Underscored observed an anomaly in certain pictures captured with the iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 Pro Max during a concert. Some images featured small blacked-out areas on the large LED display situated behind the band. While Apple has been attempting to rectify flares or minor light dots in iPhone photos taken with direct light sources, this represents an entirely new camera problem.

Thankfully, in CNN’s assessment, Apple has already acknowledged the problem and plans to implement a remedy. An Apple representative stated that this is “an event that can occur in very rare situations when an LED light display is exceptionally bright and directed straight into the camera. Apple has pinpointed a solution and will release it in a forthcoming software update.”

When will Apple launch this software update for iPhone 17 and iPhone Air?
