Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. In a report published on Sunday, the journalist highlighted several significant Apple launches for 2026, covering both software and hardware. A key software feature includes the new Siri, powered by a customized Gemini model. Additionally, the first-generation foldable iPhone and smart glasses are also expected to debut next year, although it’s possible that only the iPhone may see an official launch. Of greater interest, a significant redesign of the MacBook Pro could arrive as soon as late-2026, introducing several features not previously available on MacBooks.
This is not the first occasion we’ve heard Gurman reference the MacBook Pro redesign that Apple intends for the M6 iteration of its renowned laptop series. However, this claim may not align logically with what Apple has achieved with the M5 MacBook Pro. Recently, Apple unveiled the base M5 chip, which drives the standard 14-inch MacBook Pro. The M5 Pro and M5 Max versions of the pricier 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will not be launched until next year. The timing for that release remains uncertain. The later the introduction of the M5 Pro and M5 Max laptops occurs, the less probable a 2026 debut for the M6 MacBook Pro redesign becomes. On the other hand, if Apple aims to create excitement next year, it could always expedite the M6 MacBook Pro launch.
