Deadline), the film has earned only $32.7 million (via Box Office Mojo), marking it as a financial disappointment. However, regarding audience feedback, it received mostly favorable remarks and achieved an 84% rating from critics’ assessments (via Rotten Tomatoes). “Caught Stealing” has been among the top 10 films on Netflix in the United States since December 5 (via FlixPatrol). It ranks fifth on HBO Max and ninth on Rotten Tomatoes as of December 11. Globally, it is also performing well on various platforms, such as Rakuten TV and LetterboxD. The user ratings on Rotten Tomatoes show a positive 83% score on the Popcornmeter. Some viewers noted that the film evokes memories of “Snatch” and “Smoking Aces” — which share a similar tone, in my opinion — and that its storyline maintains a great rhythm. After viewing the film myself, I also found “Caught Stealing” to be a captivating watch, and while some of the situations are a bit implausible, it’s enjoyable. Moreover, Butler portrays a relatable Hank. At the very least, it’s suitable for a cozy movie night at home with popcorn and a cold drink.
