This week, Disney+ unveiled a new Perks program, providing subscribers with access to various rewards, such as entries into sweepstakes, product discounts, and complimentary trials for other services. The program is currently available to subscribers in the US, with Disney+ indicating that further international rollouts will begin later this year.
Here’s the compilation of all the Disney+ Perks available to subscribers at launch:
– An opportunity to win tickets to the *Freakier Friday* World Premiere and be among the first to view the all-new sequel prior to its theatrical release on August 8
– An opportunity to win a 4-night cruise aboard the Disney Destiny, the latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, departing from Ft. Lauderdale starting November 2025
– A 6-month complimentary DashPass membership from DoorDash
– 20% off at [adidas.com](https://www.adidas.com/) and in the adidas app
– 15% off purchases at [Funko.com](https://funko.com/) and [Loungefly.com](http://loungefly.com/)
– A 3-month free trial of CLEAR+
– A 2-month complimentary Super Duolingo trial
– Free in-game emoji from Disney Emoji Blitz
– Early access to the closed launch of Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs, a monthly Mystery Capsule + until June 26th to redeem a $10 Dapper Credit
– Special summer discounts at *Walt Disney World*® Resort! Book 2 nights or more at select *Disney Resorts Collection* hotels with rates starting at $99 per night at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
– Free MONOPOLY GO! and *Star Wars*™ TIE fighter in-game TOKEN
As with any perks initiative, your experience may differ in terms of the value you derive from these offers. If you often order food from DoorDash, six months of free DashPass could help you save a significant amount. Likewise, a 20% discount on a new pair of Adidas shoes is quite beneficial, particularly if you’re a fan of the brand.
Nonetheless, these perks may not alleviate the annoyance of persistent price increases. When Disney+ debuted in 2019, the subscription fee was just $6.99 per month. Currently, an ad-free subscription is priced at $15.99 per month, while Disney+ with ads is now $9.99 per month.
American Express cardholders frequently express dissatisfaction with the “coupon book” they must navigate each month to maximize the value of their annual fee. Some even humorously liken it to a part-time job. The Disney+ program may not seem as daunting, but most subscribers will probably find little value in these offers and may likely forget about them after a few months.
There’s nothing amiss with receiving some freebies, but I believe I can confidently speak for 99% of Disney+ subscribers when I say we would prefer lower prices.
