Alongside the introduction of iOS 26 at the WWDC 2025 keynote, Apple presented several new functionalities coming to Apple Intelligence with the software update launching later this fall. Below, we’ve compiled all of the Apple Intelligence features set to arrive later this year.
Apple Intelligence updates in iOS 26
**Live Translation:** Embedded within Messages, FaceTime, and Phone, Live Translation assists users in communicating across different languages by translating both text and audio.
**ChatGPT enhancements:** While the Siri with onscreen awareness is not yet available, users will have the ability to pose questions to ChatGPT regarding what they are viewing on their screens to gain further insights. It can also perform searches on Google, Etsy, or other compatible apps to locate similar images and products.
**Visual Intelligence:** This feature identifies when a user is observing an event and proposes adding it to their calendar, encompassing all relevant details. Visual Intelligence also shares similarities with Android’s Circle to Search; for instance, by taking a screenshot of a lamp or a jacket, users can search on Google to discover analogous images or find purchasing options.
**Genmoji and Image Playground enhancements:** Apple indicates that iOS 26 enhances these original Apple Intelligence features, enabling users to blend emojis, Genmoji, and descriptions to create unique combinations. For example, combining a Genmoji with a standard emoji or a descriptive text is now possible.
**Shortcuts enhancements:** Apple is introducing new shortcuts powered by Apple Intelligence. Users can expect to see dedicated actions for functionalities such as Writing Tools and Image Playground.
**Order tracking information:** When users receive emails from merchants and delivery carriers, Apple Intelligence can automatically detect and summarize order tracking information contained within.
