Galaxy S26 Ultra Expected to Showcase Much-Awaited Design Modifications

renowned Samsung insider referred to as UniverseIce on X, asserts that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will exhibit rounder corners compared to its predecessor, suggesting that Samsung’s premier non-foldable flagship may undergo the design modification that many fans have been requesting. The Galaxy Ultra stands as Samsung’s largest flagship smartphone. Additionally, it remains the sole device to incorporate a built-in S Pen stylus. While Galaxy S models showcase rounder corners, akin to the iPhone and various other smartphones, the Ultras have traditionally featured rectangular corners or slight curvatures.

The inclusion of the built-in stylus necessitated this design compromise by Samsung, a trait also observed in Galaxy Note devices. The stylus is housed internally next to one of the edges. Consequently, the bottom edge must be flat (or somewhat flat). To achieve a symmetrical appearance, Samsung selected flat top edges as well.

These rectangular corners rendered the Galaxy S24 Ultra uncomfortable to grip. Samsung has addressed this issue to some extent with this year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra (image above). The device presents rounder corners than its predecessor, yet the curvature does not precisely match that of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus. If UniverseIce’s tweet is indeed accurate, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be equipped with significantly rounder corners. Given that UniverseIce has consistently shared numerous precise details about upcoming Samsung devices over the years, and considering that Galaxy phones typically leak well before Samsung’s press announcements, it is probable that this information is accurate.
