Naver Blog user yeux1122 has revealed that a leaked version of One UI 8 indicates a new Privacy Display feature is actively being developed.
This groundbreaking functionality might render privacy screen protectors obsolete, as it will supposedly reduce the visibility of the Galaxy S26 display from side angles. Interestingly, the leaked screenshot hints at an automatic activation of this setting based on the currently open app on the screen, incoming notifications, and whether the user is entering a password or PIN.
The introduction of this privacy feature illustrates that Samsung consistently enhances its phone displays annually, in contrast to Apple’s more cautious approach to new display technologies. Frankly, while Apple asserts that the iPhone 17 display is more durable and resistant to scratches than any other smartphone screen, it will soon be missing two key features present in Galaxy devices.
