the Veo 3 AI video creation model and the Flow AI filmmaking solution showcased at I/O 2025 in May captivated the audience with several innovative features, such as lifelike video generation and the inclusion of audio effects and dialogue. Following the event, Veo 3 creations rapidly gained popularity. Five months later, Google is prepared to roll out updates for these offerings. On Wednesday, the company unveiled the Veo 3.1 model, which was mentioned in the recent Gemini 3.0 leaks. Veo 3.1 now provides improved realism, greater narrative influence, and richer audio experiences. Flow, now powered by Veo 3.1, introduces enhanced editing functionalities to the AI filmmaking tools, including audio capabilities for features like “Ingredients to Video,” “Frames to Video,” and “Extend.”

The Veo 3.1 model will be accessible to users within Flow, the Gemini application, as well as through the Gemini API for developers and Vertex AI for enterprise clients. A Fast model of Veo 3.1 will also be offered to users via the same access channels.
