There are, of course, favorable critiques for “The Wolfman” as well. Some have “adored it” and believe the narrative was “skillfully crafted” and “thrilling.” Hopkins and Benicio del Toro are highlights, and while it was disappointing to see Emily Blunt with limited screen time, she shines when she does appear. The film fluctuates between suspense, action, and traditional horror, and despite its established reputation, it remains praised as a fairly true adaptation of the original 1941 movie. Rick Baker, the makeup artist, even made efforts to keep the werewolves in the 2010 film as true to the original designs as possible. Perhaps that explains their resemblance to the Grinch?
