Imminent Comfort Game Set to Debut on Switch 2 Release Day

Next week, there won’t be a lot of new games available for your Switch 2, but if you’re transitioning from the Switch, some of your beloved titles will perform better and look enhanced on the new console. For example, if you acquired the highly acclaimed cozy RPG Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time for Switch, the developer LEVEL5 announced on Tuesday that it intends to offer an upgrade pack for the game on the very day the Switch 2 is released.

If you currently own Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time for Switch, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase the upgrade pack for $2.59 on June 5th. Additionally, there will be a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game available on the Nintendo eShop, although its pricing is yet to be revealed.

Here are the features in the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition that are absent in the original:

– Shortened Load Times: Experience smoother scene transitions and quicker game launches for a fluid experience.
– Enhanced Graphics and Frame Rate: Visuals are more stunning and animations are more seamless than previously.

LEVEL5 also notes that there are no intentions to release a Digital Deluxe Edition specifically for the Switch 2. To access the exclusive content included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game on your Switch 2, purchase the Switch version along with the upgrade pack.

The pricing structure may be somewhat perplexing, but it’s great to witness one of the year’s major hits being available as a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition from day one. Fantasy Life i has already sold 500,000 copies after its launch on May 21st, and this is likely to encourage even more players to experience the “Slow-Life RPG” as one of their initial Switch 2 games.

For those unfamiliar with the RPG life simulation, the original Fantasy Life debuted on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2012 and internationally in 2014. Set in the fantastical realm of Reveria, the game empowers players to switch between and level up across one of 12 life classes, including Paladin, Hunter, Miner, Cook, Blacksmith, Woodcutter, and Carpenter. Fantasy Life i broadens the available options by introducing two new classes: Artist and Farmer.
