The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is among the most eagerly awaited smartphones this year, and with good reason. All indications regarding the forthcoming device imply that it will further advance Google’s foldable design evolution. Recently, the tech powerhouse has released another teaser for its Pixel 10 series, this time dramatizing the excitement associated with unboxing a new phone for the first time.
While previous teasers have criticized Apple’s shortcomings with Siri, this one feels somewhat more neutral. There remains a tagline that might be interpreted as a jab at the iPhone’s lingering AI issues, with Google stating “Ask more of your phone” in the video’s description, though we are still eagerly looking forward to the initial reveal of Apple’s supposed foldable smartphone.
What stands out, however, is that this teaser represents the first official glimpse we’ve received of what is anticipated to be Google’s priciest phone to date, and it appears to align with expectations.
Feel that new phone excitement twice
The latest teaser, which lasts 30 seconds, provides a quick look at the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but doesn’t unveil any genuine surprises given the earlier leaks regarding the Pixel 10. The upcoming devices are expected to feature premium OLED displays with a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits and the more powerful Tensor G5 chip. Both the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and other devices in the Pixel 10 line are also anticipated to arrive with a variety of Gemini-enhanced camera functionalities, such as an AI Camera Coach and a conversational photo editor.
We also have a reasonable estimate of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s pricing, with leaks indicating it will be priced similarly to last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This time, however, we expect Google to unveil a 1TB model of the Fold, making it the priciest phone in Google’s lineup to date, with a speculated price of $2,149.
Google is set to completely reveal the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, along with the entire Pixel 10 lineup, on August 20. Nevertheless, recent reports imply that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may be postponed until October, alongside the Pixel Watch 4 — which is slated to feature a new charging system.
