What’s intriguing about this situation is that the majority have reported that it only occurs when their Apple Watch is unlocked. On the MacRumors Forum, one user mentioned: “Interestingly, this only occurs when I’m wearing my Apple Watch (which is already unlocked) and I unlock my iPhone. It happens almost 100% of the time. This also reflects in wireless CarPlay. When I’m wearing my watch and I unlock my iPhone, CarPlay will disconnect and then reconnect.” When the user does not have their watch on, the Wi-Fi appears to function smoothly.
