iOS 26 Beta 1 Made Available to Developers Prior to Autumn Release

Following the WWDC 2025 keynote, Apple has now released iOS 26 beta 1 for developers. The company has also introduced the initial beta versions of iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 for developers.

With iOS 26 beta 1, users can look forward to a completely revamped design. Apple states it “enhances app and system interactions to be more expressive and enjoyable, while ensuring iOS remains instantly recognizable.”

For instance, the Phone app presents a cohesive layout that integrates Favorites, Recents, and Voicemails in a single location. In Messages, users now have the option to filter messages from unfamiliar senders. iOS 26 beta 1 also includes a polling feature and the capability to create personalized backgrounds that complement their conversation with Image Playground.

Apple Music has received a new Lyric Translation feature, aiding users in understanding the lyrics of their favorite tracks. Through Lyrics Pronunciation, anyone can sing along, no matter the language. A new AutoMix feature utilizes intelligent technology to seamlessly transition from one song to another as a DJ would.

iOS 26 beta 1 will additionally start integrating new Apple Intelligence features, including updates for Genmoji and Image Playground, allowing users to combine emojis, Genmoji, and descriptions to craft something original.
