iOS 26 Beta 3 Unveiled Ahead of Public Beta Debut

A few weeks following the release of beta 2, Apple is now issuing iOS 26 beta 3 to developers. If Apple maintains the current pattern, we anticipate the first public beta of iOS 26 to be released as early as this week.

Currently, it remains uncertain what enhancements are included in the latest iOS 26 beta 3. However, you can expect additional fixes for bugs and battery performance. Moreover, this should mark the first beta with more significant design modifications, as this is typically the version where Cupertino begins to refine its software in response to developer input.

In the last beta, Apple implemented the following adjustments:

– **New ringtone:** A new ringtone has been introduced for iOS 26.
– **Wallet enhancements:** The order tracking feature on the Wallet is now accessible in this latest beta. An option is available for Siri to scan your Mail app for orders.
– **Recovery Assistant:** After the release of iOS 26, users will have the capability to recover their iPhone from software issues without the need for a Mac.

Additional enhancements from iOS 26 beta 2 can be found here. Alongside these modifications, iOS 26 beta testers are the first to experience the new Liquid Glass design. Cupertino describes it as “beautiful, delightful, and instantly familiar.” From the Lock Screen to the Home Screen, Control Center, applications, icons, and beyond, Apple has refreshed the overall appearance of its iPhone system. One of the design changes includes a new transparent look for iPhone icons.

For the Messages app, iOS 26 beta 3 introduces customizable backgrounds for chats and polls. In terms of Apple Intelligence features, the iPhone 15 Pro or newer models can utilize Live Translation, a newly enhanced AI-powered Shortcuts app, and upgraded Image Playground and Genmoji functionalities.

Beta 3 of iOS 26 is being released alongside the third testing iterations of iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26.
