During the mid-September event, Apple may introduce more iOS 26 features that will be exclusive to the iPhone 17 series. These are elements that Apple was unable to disclose at WWDC 2025 in June, when it presented the majority of iOS 26’s innovations.
For instance, Apple showcased Live Translation capabilities for multiple native iOS 26 applications at WWDC 2025, yet the company did not mention in-person Live Translation support for AirPods. This feature first surfaced in March and has now re-emerged with the iOS 26 beta 6 release. The software version contains evidence suggesting that Live Translation for AirPods is imminent, as reported by findings from 9to5Mac and MacRumors.
