As the testing period advances, Apple has rolled out iPadOS 26 beta 4 for developers. In this iteration, Apple further refines the Mac-inspired features headed to iPad, enhancing the fluidity of switching between the two devices.
The previous beta introduced a Mac-like cursor for iPadOS 26. When utilizing your tablet with a Magic Keyboard or any compatible trackpad or mouse, a quick shake back and forth enlarges the cursor temporarily. This is particularly advantageous when utilizing Sidecar or multiple displays simultaneously.
Additionally, iPadOS 26 beta 4 features a new windowing system, representing a significant upgrade from Stage Manager, Split Screen, and Slide Over. With this functionality, you can have as many active apps on your Home Screen as you desire. Moreover, Apple now permits tasks to operate in the background, simplifying the process of exporting a video, downloading a document, or similar tasks while you work on other projects.
