USB-C cables that now power almost everything, connect it to a USB power adapter and allow the DualSense to charge overnight.
However, hold on a moment: Is it truly safe to keep your PS5 controller connected throughout the night? In a technical sense, yes. That said, we wouldn’t advise making it a regular practice. The DualSense is built to fast charge until its lithium-ion cells reach 80% capacity, at which point it shifts to a slower charge rate until the battery is entirely full.
Similar to many battery-powered controllers, the PS5 DualSense has smart charging protection. This serves as a precaution that halts the DualSense’s power consumption once it achieves a full charge. Nevertheless, leaving a controller plugged in overnight introduces a third charging phase that isn’t optimal for the longevity of the battery: trickle charging.
