Naturally, there has been some conjecture regarding the reasoning behind Meta’s decision, with some suggesting it could be to encourage engagement back to Facebook’s website. Although Meta has not offered a detailed explanation, the applications are no longer available for download on Windows or macOS, and if you are currently using them, you will only have a limited timeframe before they cease functioning entirely.
